Benton Custom is owned and operated by Roger Benton, a New York based designer, craftsman, musician and entrepreneur. For the most part, Benton operates alone out of his small but well equipped shop located at 3rd Ward in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn. 3rd Ward is a craftsperson, artist and artisan's co-op catering to all manner of creative souls, from photographers and sculptors to clothing designers and models to bicycle manufacturers and furniture designers, all under one large roof. They really need to get a couple vending machines going there, but aside from that small quibble, the place is just aces. When not toiling in the shop, Benton does production work for a large men's high end clothing designer, plays drums in two bands, and enjoys spending time with his wife, Nikki; his daughter, Charlene; and their pets.
